WORCESTER will welcome The Range to the city on the site of the former Homebase store on Hylton Road on December 20, the retail giant has confirmed.
Range chiefs confirmed a pre-Christmas opening for the store at 9am on the day with the creation of 80 full and part time jobs.
Customers will be able to discover more than 65,000 of their favourite products in The Range’s home, garden and leisure selections, all under one roof.
The store will have in store extras such as a café, large outdoor garden centre and even an Iceland Foods coming to store in the new year.
Despite opening just five days before Christmas, an amazing Christmas selection for all those last minute purchases will be on offer.
The opening of the Worcester store is part of a development strategy that sees the UK retailer now operating more than 175 stores across the UK and Ireland.
The sudden growth of The Range, given the current economic challenges faced by the retail sector, is a mark of the
entrepreneurial leadership of Plymouth based owner and founder of the firm, Chris Dawson.
“Opening a new store is always an exciting moment for the company and the Worcester superstore is no exception,” he said.
“The job provision that comes with the new store should be a great boost to the local area. We hope that the people of Worcester, and the surrounding areas, will be delighted with this news”
