TECH-savvy residents can now report any issues they see around the city straight to Worcester council staff.
Worcester City Council has a ‘Report It’ page on its website which allows anybody to alert staff to issues straight from their smartphone.
This can include litter, overflowing bins or areas that need tidying.
WCC’s environment spokesperson Coun Zoe Cookson said: “As councillors we are particularly concerned about making sure Worcester stays beautiful, but we need your help.
“Our staff regularly patrol the city and make sure areas are looking at their best.
“However, it is impossible to monitor every area all day, and that is where residents, businesses and visitors can help.
“If you report it we can make sure we send council staff out to make sure that Worcester is as clean and tidy as possible.”
The Report It can be used to report abandoned vehicles, broken glass, overflowing bins, areas that need sweeping or tidying.
There is also information for residents who are experiencing excessive noise coming from domestic or commercial premises.
Additionally, the page allows people to quickly and easily report dangerous or fallen trees, graffiti and fly-posting, fly-tipping and animal fouling.
The council can only take action on land that it owns, while social housing providers and private landlords are responsible for land they own in Worcester.
