A NEW group for people living with dementia and their carers has celebrated a month since it opened its doors and is on the lookout for new members.
Based at the Lyppard Hub in Warndon villages, Tea & Support provides a safe, friendly, relaxed environment for people living with dementia and their carers to meet each other, find support, enjoy a chat and activities together.
Representatives from Age UK and the Alzheimers Society attended the first session to help people towards further support in Worcester and the surrounding area and information about other groups, activities and support services will be available at all Tea & Support sessions.
Project leader Hannah Bush, said: “We are eager to help people with dementia live well and find a sense of belonging in their local community. We also hope it will offer carers and family members some much needed support and the opportunity to share experiences together.”
The group meets on the second and fourth Tuesday each month from 11.30am to 1pm and is free to attend.
