YOUNGSTERS from a Worcester school were inspired after a visit from one of Great Britain’s most successful Paralympic athletes.
Pupils from Year 3 to 6 at Perry Wood Primary School enjoyed a visit from Paralympic swimmer Sascha Kindred OBE.
During a special assembly, the 13-time medallist spoke to children about the highlights of his successful, record-breaking career and how he managed to overcome both personal and sporting challenges.
He also offered pupils motivational advice to support them in achieving their own personal goals.
Jade May, Perry Wood’s physical education co-ordinator, said: “Sascha had both children and staff completely enthralled by the story of his Paralympic journey.
“Perseverance is our school value this term, for which Sascha is the perfect role model as he has shown determination and tenacity throughout his lengthy sporting career.”
