Still time to explore Worcestershire Open Studios this bank holiday weekend

ORGANISERS are delighted with the success and reception of the opening weekend of Worcestershire Open Studios.

This year’s event welcomes visitors into artist’s studios, giving them behind the scenes access into their creative spaces and processes.

Visitors this year have had more studios to explore than ever before with 128 artists showcasing their paintings, sculptures, prints, jewellery, ceramics, photographs, textiles and woodwork across 97 studios.

The hosts of the event want to remind everyone that studios will remain open over the August bank holiday weekend.

Gillian Simpson, an artist and organiser at this years event said: “Visitors have told us about discovering new places and artists in Worcestershire since the event began.

“They have been inspired by the art they’ve seen, being able to watch artists work, see the techniques they use, and meet the talent on their doorstep.

“There has been a real appreciation and support for our local artists.

“This is what Worcestershire Open Studios is for, and it’s been great to hear from visitors how much they’ve enjoyed their visits.”

All studios are free to visit. Guides for the event can be found local libraries, information centres and businesses, or can be downloaded from the Worcestershire Open Studios website.
