WORCESTER Racecourse has been boosted with a vehicle to assist with its 2022 meetings thanks to a Pershore dealership.
Ssangyong Pershore, based at PJ Nicholls, at The Motor House on Station Road is set to supply the racecourse with a vehicle for its meetings in 2022.
The vehicles will be mobilised to provide a vital element to race days, including the transport of official race starters to the start of each race and provision to support vehicles carrying the doctors that provide essential medical care at the side of the racecourse, during each meeting.
Tom Nicholls, managing director at P J Nicholls Pershore, said: “We’re proud to have this opportunity to sponsor Worcester Racecourse with the new SsangYong Musso pick up for the season ahead. Worcester Races and PJ Nicholls SsangYong are at the heart of the community and we look forward to working with them on their vital race day support.”
Worcester Racecourse is the home of summer jump racing with 21 National Hunt jump racing fixtures from April to October every year.
Racecourse general manager, Michael Thomas, said: “We are really pleased to partner PJ Nicholls and work with them to supply the vital race day support vehicles that are so important for the safe running of every fixture here at Worcester. Having an excellent, quality and reliable vehicle at every fixture is crucial and we thank PJ Nicholls for their support as we start our exciting 2022 season.”
