Snow warning for county on Friday

Worcester Editorial 27th Feb, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

A SNOW warning has been issued for Worcestershire for Friday morning (February 28).

The county is under a yellow Met Office weather warning for snow from 2am until 3pm but it is likely to only settle on higher ground.

There is the possibility of some transport disruption with falling snow and slushy deposits at lower levels, especially during the morning rush hour.

A chief forecaster at the Met Office said: “An area of low pressure is expected to move eastwards on Friday.

“There remains some uncertainty in its track and therefore on the risk and location of any snow.”
