ONE OF the biggest names in English rugby helped Worcester Severn Rotary Club to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
More than 140 people attended the club’s fund-raising dinner at Sixways Stadium where former England international Dean Richards was invited to be guest speaker.
The event, which raised £3,000 for prostate cancer research, saw the director of rugby at Newcastle Falcons speak about his rugby career in sport, including his time at Leicester Tigers and England.
As well as telling many amusing anecdotes about his team mates and opponents, he was also willing to respond to questions about his involvement in the Blood-gate scandal when he was director of rugby at Harlequins.
