RESIDENTS are beginning to move into a new care home in Worcester after it opened its doors this week.

Staff at Perry Manor, which is situated off Charles Hastings Way, gave members of the public a sneak peak of the care home this weekend before welcoming their first residents on Monday (June 2).

The open day, which took place on Saturday (May 31), offered people the opportunity to have a look around the £6.5million site and meet the team who will be running the 82-bed care home.

Staff were also on hand to answer questions about Perry Manor which provides nursing, residential, dementia and respite care for residents.

Home manager Mike Dearn said: “We have an experienced and energetic team which shares a vision of how they want the home to run.

“We are all focused on creating a warm and welcoming environment where the wellbeing and happiness of residents is paramount. All members of the team are passionate about making a difference and enabling our residents to live fulfilling lives.”
