THE Red Arrows swooped into Worcestershire for the first time in two years to mark the start of the Midlands Air Festival, the largest the largest hot air balloon display in Europe.
Never before seen manoeuvres, two daily mass ascents and a nightfire event for the whole family as aircraft fitted with pyrotechnics, fireworks and lighting systems to their wings took to the skies were among the highlights at the event at Ragley Hall.
Organisers also secured the mighty B-17 bomber and Rich Goodwin in his radical high powered Muscle Biplane to feature in the exhilarating programme of air displays.
