RACING lovers are being invited to get under starters orders for Worcester Racecourse’s annual Macmillan Coffee Morning raceday in association with Boots.
Over the last four years, the annual event has raised more than £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support with £7,000 of that sum raised in 2017.
Organisers hope the fifth running of the popular event this Friday (September 28) will be a firm favourite and raise a record-breaking sum.
This well established fixture has become a firm favourite on the racing calendar with packages including admission, coffee, a muffin and a Boots goody bag.
The racecourse donates £5 from every package sold and there are bucket collections and raffles in aid of Macmillan around the racecourse throughout the day.
Executive director Jenny Cheshire said: “We thoroughly enjoy the Big Macmillan Coffee Morning Raceday each year, we have been thrilled with the generosity of our racegoers over the last 4 years and are excited to work with Boots again to hopefully raise a record sum for this wonderful charity.
The charity package is on sale now from www.worcester-racecourse.co.uk
