Police hunt Worcester teen

Worcester Editorial 5th Feb, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016

A WORCESTER teenager who breached his release conditions is being hunted by police for recall to prison.

Darren Sutton was sentenced to 14 months in a young offenders’ institution last September after pleading guilty to burglary and theft of a purse from a house in Northfield Street, in May last year.

The 19-year-old was released on licence on December 24 but has been recalled after he failed to comply with his probation conditions.

Det Cons Simon Jury said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in tracing Darren Sutton. He comes from Worcester but is also known to frequent to the Hereford area.

“We are continuing our efforts to locate him and would urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts, or who has been in recent contact with him, to contact the Worcester duty inspector.”

Anyone with further information can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
