Police hunt Foregate Street suspects

Worcester Editorial 6th Feb, 2014 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

TWO MEN suspected of causing significant damage to Foregate Street railway station are being hunted by police.

The incident took place on Saturday, December 7, but British Transport Police (BTP) have just released CCTV images of the pair they want to speak to in connection with the wrecking spree.

On Platform One a number of windows, electrical fittings and fixtures, and a bicycle secured to the cycle racks were damaged about 4.15am.

The men then caught the 6.33am service to Birmingham New Street from Platform Two. A window on the same platform was later discovered to have been smashed.

PC Carol Dade said enquiries had been ongoing to trace those responsible and they believed the two men pictured would have key information to assist the investigation.

Anyone who thinks they may know the two men can contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 and quote reference WWA/B13 of 04/02/14, text 61016 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
