A TEENAGE girl was sexually touched by a man as she was walking through a Worcester park.
The incident happened on Saturday (March 8) about 5.25pm when three young girls were in Cripplegate Park and a man approached them, grabbing one of the girl’s bottom.
He then walked off laughing while the girls stayed in the park. They left the park onto the Bullring and headed towards St Clement’s Gardens where the man re-appeared and chased after them.
Members of the public helped the girls and called the police, who took them all home and searched the area but could not find the man.
He is described as white, aged 40-50, about 5ft 8ins, black hair, wearing round-framed glasses, dark blue jeans, a dark-coloured waist length jacket, black shoes and carrying a black rucksack.
PC Louisa Steele, said: “This was a very distressing incident for the young girls involved and one that is clearly of concern to the police.
“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area of Cripplegate Park early on Saturday evening to think about whether they either saw this incident take place or a middle-aged man acting suspiciously.”
Anyone with further information on the incident can contact police on the non-emergency number 101 or by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
