Police appeal for information following robbery near ADSA

POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery that took place near to the ASDA store in St Martin’s Quarter.

In the early hours of the morning on Sunday, March 12 a man was chased by the suspect causing them to fall on steps which lead up to the supermarket.

The suspect then demanded money from the victim whilst he was lying on the floor.

The victim threw an unknown amount of cash onto the floor asking to be left alone.




The suspect then stopped and walked off in the direction of Lowesmoor.

As a result of the fall, the victim injured his leg which required hospital treatment.


Officers investigating the incident are keen on identifying and talking to the man pictured as they believe he may have information relating to the robbery.

He is described as a Black/Mixed race man, aged in his 30s to 40s with a medium build. He was approximately 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall with no facial hair.

He was dressed in smart wear including a suit jacket and trilby hat.

Anyone who may know the person in the photo or have any information in relation to this incident is urged to call West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident 119S of March 12.
