A COOKING enthusiast from Worcester rose to the challenge when she was given a masterclass in how to make the perfect pie by a well-known chef.
Sarah Kent spent the day with celebrity chef James Martin on Friday, March 21, after receiving a slice of luck during British Pie Week.
The 34-year-old took part in a competition which asked people to send in pictures of themselves tucking into a pie before the seven winners were chosen at random.
She said: “I entered the competition after enjoying a meal at the Robin Hood in Droitwich as I really wanted to be in with a chance of winning a master class with such a great chef.
“The whole day was a great experience and I cooked food that I never thought I would cook, especially under the expert eye of James.”
Mr Martin added: “During the masterclass Sarah learnt some really valuable kitchen skills and really came into her own when it came to flavouring her dishes. I hope she continues practising in the kitchen as she’ll become a great cook.”
