YEAR ten students from Bishop Perowne CE College enjoyed an inspirational visit to Oriel College in Oxford to experience life at one of the world’s top universities.
As well as a talk about how to decide which university is right for them, the students also had the chance to hold a question and answer session with current college students.
Students then took part in a science, technology, engineering and maths taster session and learned how science can be taken out of the laboratory and applied to the natural environment.
Headteacher Mark Pollard said: “Being able to give them the chance to experience a day at one of the world’s top universities and talk to those who are studying there really helps them see what their hard work can achieve.”
