A NEW Assistant Chief Constable has joined West Mercia Police.
Richard Moore was born in Northern Ireland and joined West Midlands Police when he was 20-years-old, in 1992.
During his 25 years of service, ACC Moore has held roles as head of local policing for East Birmingham and programme director for business transformation, as well as having roles in counter terrorism and crime investigation.
His role with Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police involves responsibility for protective services, which includes crime management, forensics services, intelligence, major investigations, operations, protecting vulnerable people and specialist operations.
WORCESTER residents are being invited to an evening of live music at a city church.
The talented Australian Thomas Heywood will perform at St Martin’s Church this Saturday, where the organ virtuoso will provide a programme of popular classics, including Handel, Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky, Best, Hollins, Grieg and Dvorak.
The event starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £12 for adults and is free for children aged 16 and under.
