CIVIC dignitaries were among the guests as a Worcester businesswoman opened the doors of her new studio.
Jilly Oxlade-Arnott celebrated the launch of Architectural Impressions at The Marwood on The Tything with guests including the Mayor of Worcester Coun Steve Mackay and representatives from Worcester City Council, the Chamber of Commerce and the National Trust.
With more than 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing, Jilly decided to take the plunge and establish herself as a professional artist specialising in watercolour and ink paintings depicting historical and special interest buildings in her unique colourful and vibrant style.
She received support from the city’s Enterprise Allowance Scheme and invaluable training from PeoplePlus.
Jilly undertakes commissions for residential, retail and business clients.
Her work is displayed at The Cabin, The Marwood and The Old Pheasant and can be purchased in several outlets across the city including The Tourist Information Centre.
She will also be showcasing her talents at the Worcester Show in Gheluvelt Park on Sunday, August 13 and in the Open Studios event on August 26 to 28 at McKay Kitchens in Britannia Square.
