NEW signage has been unveiled at Worcester’s Tourist Information Centre in a bid to make it easier for tourists and residents to spot.
The centre adjoins the Guildhall, but its entrance is tucked away to the side of the main entrance and is not visible from the High Street, which spurred centre bosses into getting more prominent signs.
A temporary sign had been in place on its High Street façade for the last six weeks, while a permanent one was being made.
Worcester TIC Manager, Ruth Smith, said: “There was an immediate and noticeable increase in numbers visiting our TIC from the first day that the temporary sign went up on the High Street.
“We have a wealth of information and advice on the Worcestershire area to offer visitors, and I’m particularly pleased that the new signs are in place for this busy festive period, when so many people will be spending leisure time in this historic city.”
