CREATIVE minds are being sought as the Museum of Royal Worcester launches a host festive cheer, celebrating Worcester’s porcelain stories.

The Museum of Royal Worcester is launching its first ever Christmas Cracker Workshops this week in partnership with sustainable local company Eco Magpie.

They are inviting people to soak up the start of the festive season and get prepared with their special workshops to create and fill your very own set of six handmade Christmas crackers.

The workshops will take place tomorrow (Saturday) or Friday (December 1) from 10.30am to 1pm, led by Liz Hebbron-Burridge, founder of Eco Magpie.

Sophie Heath, museum director said:

“Liz has spent time researching our design archive, to come up with ideas and bring environmentally friendly festive cheer and creativity to Worcester’s dining tables.

“Participants will choose from a range of custom and vintage paper templates inspired by the designs and heritage of Worcester porcelain to construct their own handmade crackers.

“What an exciting talking point it will make at the table on Christmas Day.”

The Christmas Cracker Workshops workshop will include Museum entry on the day and tea or coffee and mince pies, served on Royal Worcester china during the session.

Bookings must be made in advance.
