A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after a crash on the roundabout between Junction 8 of the M5 (Strensham) and the M50.
The man in his late 50s sustained serious injuries in the incident which happened around 8.30am on Monday morning and involved a grey Skoda car and a motorbike.
An off-duty paramedic was first on the scene and tended to the man until the Midlands Air Ambulance helicopter, a critical care car, ambulance and paramedic officer arrived.
The motorcyclist was flown to the Major Trauma Unit at Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he received treatment.
Road closures were in place whilst emergency services dealt with the incident.
