Met Office issues snow warning for Worcestershire tomorrow

Worcester Editorial 7th Dec, 2017   0

THE MET Office has issued a weather warning for snow for Worcestershire.

The flurries are forecast to start in the early hours of tomorrow morning (Friday) and continue for the whole day, with heavy snow falling at times.

Temperatures will drop to 1°C and westerly winds will reach up to 15mph making it bitterly cold.

The yellow warning (very likely) for snow and ice will be in place from 12.05am on Friday.

The snow is expected to last throughout the day and could get up to 5cm in some parts of Worcestershire.

Drivers are urged to take care on the roads and pedestrians on pavements and pathways as the ice could lead to the risk of falls.

The snow showers could continue until the evening with the possibility of further wetter wintry showers on Sunday.
