Mental health help available is the message

Worcester Editorial 18th May, 2021   0

BOSSES at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust want people who are struggling to know that mental health services are available across the two counties.

One is Herefordshire and Worcestershire Healthy Minds Service which supports adults experiencing more common mental health difficulties, for example stress, anxiety, low mood or depression.

The Healthy Minds team works across both counties to deliver a free, self-referral service providing a range of talking therapies, including group and one-to-one therapy, along with online courses and self-help resources.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the service is currently running virtual group activities which people can join remotely from home.

Healthy Minds can also provide people with access to an online course called Silvercloud. The course is free and can be completed in the person’s own time and at their own pace so it can fit it in around work or family commitments.

Anyone who needs support can call the following numbers without needing a referral from a GP or other healthcare professional first.

* Worcestershire Healthy Minds: 0300 013 57 27

* Herefordshire Healthy Minds: 01432 220 507

People can also visit www.healthyminds.whct.nhs.uk and complete the self-referral form online.

The website also contains lots of other useful information and guidance to support people’s mental wellbeing.
