THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of supplying heroin as police continued their major crackdown on drug dealing in the city.

Officers executed a warrant in Warndon yesterday (Thursday) and the men were taken into custody before being bailed pending further inquiries.

Police also carried out warrants at two properties in Rainbow Hill and Tolladine on Wednesday (Februrary 19).

They seized drugs paraphenalia from both addresses and a woman linked to both homes is set to be interviewed at a later date about involvement in supplying heroin.

Sergeant Helen Wain from the Safer Neighbourhood Teams in Warndon said: “We are continuing to execute drugs warrants and other operations to disrupt the activity of drug dealers.

“The residents of Worcester have a key part to play and we encourage people to pass on any suspicions or concerns they have to us. This is vital to our work and we will follow up information we receive that could lead to more arrests and prosecutions for supplying drugs.”

If anyone has information about drugs being supplied in Worcester, they should call the non emergency number 101 and ask for the Safer Neighbourhood Team for their area.

Alternatively information can be passed on anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or completing its online form by logging on to www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
