YOUNGSTERS from a Worcester school have celebrated the 100th birthday of ?Roald Dahl by dressing up as their favourite fictional characters.
Staff and pupils at Perry Wood Primary School dressed up as giants, Oompa Loompas, witches, golden ticket winners and various animals on Tuesday, September 13, to celebrate the work of one of the world’s best-known children’s authors.
The event brought the magic of storytelling to life in every year group and is one of many opportunities Perry Wood will be taking this academic year to nurture its pupils’ enthusiasm for reading.
