TWO of Britain’s top actors have been announced as judges at Worcester International Film Festival.
Martin Freeman and Ralph Ineson will take their seats on the Guest Jury Panel.
Martin is an Emmy and BAFTA award-winning actor with a career spanning film, television, and stage.
He is best known to audiences worldwide for his performances as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit trilogy, Dr John Watson in BBC’s Sherlock, and Everett Ross in Marvel’s Black Panther and Captain America: Civil War. More recently, he had the lead role in BBC drama The Responder.
Yorkshire actor, Ralph Ineson, has become one of the UK’s most varied actors with a diverse body of work made up of arthouse cinema, prestige television, and major studio blockbusters.
Ralph has recently been seen as the planet-devouring villain Galactus in Marvel’s Fantastic Four: First Steps and as Archduke Bellarion in season three of Apple TV+’s Foundation. His past credits include roles in Robert Eggers’ The Witch, The Green Knight, and HBO’s Chernobyl.
Festival co-director Hendrik Harms said: “Our film jury are always instrumental at pulling out exceptional talent from the films we screen at the festival, and we are so pleased that Martin and Ralph wanted to be a part of that process this year. It’s truly inspiring to have two industry legends with such illustrious careers involved, and that they remain so committed to championing independent cinema and upcoming creators.”
Worcester International Film Festival 2025 runs from September 24 to September 27 with 120 screenings, industry workshops, filmmaker Q&As, networking events, and an awards ceremony at venues across the city.
