A 25-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed in the stomach following a disagreement in a car park on Goddard Street.

The incident happened at about 4pm yesterday afternoon in a private parking area (Thursday) after the victim was followed by a man driving a silver Peugeot 206.

The 25-year-old was then approached by the unknown offender which led to a verbal disagreement between the two and the victim was then stabbed.

After suffering from a stab wound to his lower stomach and cuts to his arms the victim was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital and has since been discharged.

The suspect is described as a black man, aged between 25 and 30-years-old, tall and of a slim build. He was wearing grey jogging style trousers and a dark puffa style jacket.

Det Insp John Cashion said: “Firstly I would like to reassure the residents who live within Worcester that we believe this to be an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public.

“We believe that a woman had been within the area and approached the offender prior to the incident taking place, and therefore we would urge her to come forward as she may have vital information that can help police with their investigations.

“If you were in the area and witnessed or heard any suspicious activity taking place at the time of the incident, I would urge you to call us on 101 quoting incident number 474S of 6 October.”
