A MAN in his 20’s has been deliberately knocked down by a white van driver in Worcester.

The incident happened on Tallow Hill, by the Staples stationary store, at about 3.55pm last Wednesday, November 4.

Police are trying to trace a small white van which mounted the pavement, deliberately knocked the victim down, and then drove off.

He then headed towards the canal towpath following the incident and officers are now trying to trace him.

The victim is described as Asian, 5 foot 6ins tall and was wearing a blue hooded top and dark jeans at the time of the incident.

Insp Gerry Smith said: “We are looking to trace the driver of the small white van and also the person involved in the collision who we believe may have been injured.

“We know Tallow Hill would have been busy at this time with it being the start of the rush hour and we need people who may have seen the collision or who may have knowledge of the vehicle, occupants or injured person to contact us.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
