A MAN has been charged with murder and assault after the body of a missing Worcester woman was found at an address in Birmingham last Friday.
Richard Bailey, from Cooksey Lane, Kingstanding, was charged last night by West Midlands Police detectives with the murder of 33-year-old Charlotte Teeling.
It’s alleged the 40-year-old attacked Charlotte at his home on Friday. The cause of death is still to be confirmed.
Unemployed Bailey was arrested during the early hours of Saturday morning and appeared at Birmingham Crown Court yesterday.
Det Insp Jim Colclough, from West Midlands Police’s Homicide Team, said: “This is a tragic case where a young woman has sadly lost her life.
“I’d ask that anyone has any information on Charlotte’s movements since 22 February, which is when she was last seen, or anyone who has any information that could help our investigation and hasn’t already spoken to my team to get in touch.”
Bailey is due to appear in court again on Thursday
