OFFICERS have been granted more time to question a 43-year-old man from Worcester who was arrested on suspicion of the murder of Julie Fox.

A 36-hour extension for further questioning was granted to officers last night after the man’s arrest on Tuesday.

Det Supt Adrian McGee from West Mercia Police said: “It’s now been over a week since Julie’s body was found, and we are continuing to investigate the circumstances of her death.

“Officers remain in the area whilst enquiries are carried out and we are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area between 22 December and 27 December to please come forward or speak with a local officer.

“We are also still trying to locate Julie’s pink handbag, which she had with her days before she died. This is currently missing from her bungalow and I would ask anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to please come forward.
