A CONVENIENCE store shopper from Worcester has won free energy for a year after entering a SPAR Christmas competition.
Jonathan Whitwell collected a cash prize of £4,399 from SPAR Warndon after winning one of four grand prizes in the SPAR ‘Merry Textmas’ competition, which has given away up to £100,000 worth of prizes.
The £4,399 prize value reflects the average family spend on energy from April 2020 to March 2021.
“It was such a lovely call to receive on a rainy afternoon, I am still in shock as did not believe before anyone wins prizes like these,” he said.
“Thank you so much SPAR – this win has come at just the best time for us, and it will make an enormous difference to my family and I.”
Store manager Zowie Spragg said: “It is fantastic to be able to reward our shoppers with prizes like this at what can be a difficult financial time of year for many.”
