A WORCESTER drug dealer has has his jail sentence extended following an appeal to the Royal Courts of Justice by West Mercia Police.
Wesley Usherwood, 20, of no fixed abode was sentenced to four years in prison in February having pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, production of crack cocaine and obstructing a constable.
Investigating officer Det Con Joshua Hunt attended the London court for the appeal hearing, where Usherwood had his sentence extended to eight years in prison.
Usherwood was given credit for an early guilty plea and will serve six years and nine months of his eight year sentence.
DC Hunt said: “It is only right that persons bringing the highest level of risk of harm into our communities are dealt with robustly by the police and issued appropriate sentences at court to reflect their offending.
