STAFF and students at Bishop Perowne CE College are celebrating after the school notched up a good rating from Government inspectors.
In all areas of inspection – effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare, and outcomes for pupils – Bishop Perowne was judged to be good by OfSTED.
The result means the school has gone from an inadequate rating to a good in a short space of time.
Headteacher Mark Pollard, said: “We were confident the changes we were implementing at the time of our previous inspection would be transformative and the rapid improvement is testament to how all staff, students, governors and parents have worked together to achieve the best for our students.”
“As in all reports, OfSTED has made suggestions about the areas which can be developed further and we are all committed to ensuring every Bishop Perowne student receives a high standard of education.”
