Worcester Editorial 26th Jun, 2018   0

AN IMAGE has been released of the Worcester man found dead in a city street in the early hours of Thursday morning as officers continue to investigate his death.

Officers attended Lavender Road in Barbourne following a report that a man was lying unresponsive in the street.

The man has been formally named as 58-year-old Keith Paul of Gheluvelt Park and his next of kin has been informed.

The investigation is still ongoing and police would like to speak to any members of the public that may have seen Keith between 11pm last Wednesday and 4am on Thursday.

In particular they are keen to speak with a taxi driver that picked up a male and female from The Cross between 2am and 3am on Thursday morning and drove down Lavender Road.

The taxi driver is described as an Asian male in his 30s and was driving a black cab. It is believed he may have information that could help with the investigation.

Det Sgt David Hall said: “We are continuing our investigation and we would like to hear from anyone that has any information relating to Keith’s whereabouts that evening. This could help with our enquiries so we would urge them to make contact via 101.”

Anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident 54S of 21 June 2018 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
