Husband of missing Kempsey woman charged with her murder

Rob George 8th Jun, 2021

THE HUSBAND of a Kempsey woman who has been missing for 39 years has been charged with her murder.

David Venables will appear at Worcester Magistrates Court next Tuesday (June 15) after he was charged with the murder of Brenda Venables, who was reported missing from Kempsey in May 1982.

The 88-year-old was charged today (Tuesday) after the Crown Prosecution Service ruled a prosecution was in the public interest.

He has been charged in relation to the discovery of human remains, identified as Mrs Venables, that were found in Kempsey in July 2019.
