HELEN Archer-Smith has been appointed as the new director of finance for the Diocese of Worcester.
In this role, Helen will lead the finance team responsible for looking after and accounting for the finances of the Diocesan Board of Finance as well as a large number of trust funds, including parochial trusts on behalf of parishes across Worcestershire and Dudley.
Helen replaces Stephen Lindner, who is retiring after 25 years in the role.
Helen is currently senior bursar of the West Cavendish group of schools, and bursar at Bredon School. Prior to this she was a senior audit manager in the not-for-profit sector. She is also treasurer of Pershore Abbey.
