THERE are delays of an hour-and-a-half on the M5 between Junction 6 (Worcester) and Junction 5 (Droitwich).
It follows an incident this morning on the northbound carriageway which led to all lanes from Junction 5 being closed.
Two lanes have since been re-opened but the problems are expected to continue until at least midday.
An initial inspection suggests lane four may even have to be resurfaced because of fire damage.
Motorists are advised to avoid using the road and find an alternative route.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, paramedic officer and senior paramedic officer to the incident.
A man in his 40s was already out of the vehicle and, after being assessed by ambulance staff, was discharged at the scene.
