A WORCESTER singing sensation is through to the next round of the X Factor auditions after wowing judges on the hit ITV talent show.

Giles Potter will take to the stage again in front of thousands of fans this coming weekend with a place at the show’s ‘Boot Camp’ at stake.

The 16-year-old who lives in Norton with his proud parents hit all the right notes in front of judges Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger with his performance of Jessie J’s Number 1 hit Pricetag.

And now the cheeky chappy will face a performance on stage in front of thousands knowing that further approval from the panel will mean a place in the next round.

If Giles makes it through the boot camp he will then perform for one of the judges and could be selected for the Saturday night live shows which begin soon.

Supported by his mum and dad, Giles bounced into the room and wowed the foursome with his enthusiasm.

“Since I was 12 years old I have wanted to apply for this so much,” he said.

“I’m old enough now so this is the big time and this is my moment.”

His confident performance even saw him involve Gary Barlow and was warmly appreciated by the panel.

Louis Walsh said: “You have bags of personality and you are very likeable, well done!

Sharon Osbourne said: “Fantastic, really really enjoyed your performance

Nicole Scherzinger was charmed by the 16-year-old while Gary Barlow said: “That personality, that twinkle behind the eyes, that is what is going to make you a real contender in this competition, it really will.”

Giles has been entertaining people for a number of years and won Wychavon District Council’s W Factor in 2011.

Tune into ITV this coming weekend (September 21 and 22) to see if Giles makes it to Boot Camp
