Ghost stories by candlelight

Worcester Editorial 11th Oct, 2018   0

BEST-SELLING author Tom Cox will be giving a candlelit talk at Worcester Museum later this month to celebrate the launch of his tenth book Help the Witch.

The former rock critic, sports journalist and nature writer, is coming to the Tudor House Museum on October 28.

Tom has a dedicated following for his blog 21st Century Yokel who eagerly await his humorous accounts of modern life in distinctly rural settings.

This is Tom’s first visit to Worcestershire and the only one he will be making in 2018.

Tom will be retelling ghost stories by candlelight on the night, encouraging the audience to do the same, and signing copies of his book.

Manager Tonia Collett said she was pleased to have Tom joining them, labelling it ‘a bit of a coup’.

“He’s one of the funniest writers of his generation, rightly being described as ‘the soulman of British literature’ and one of the most generous too, with thousands of people reading his highly entertaining blog.”

Tickets for the event are £10, with proceeds going to the Tudor ceiling restoration project
