Get creative at Worcester City Art Gallery

Worcester Editorial 21st Aug, 2016 Updated: 19th Oct, 2016   0

WORCESTER youngsters are being encouraged to get creative this summer by taking part in a range of activities at a city art gallery.

The Pirates, Pants and Wellyphants exhibition at Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum offers children and families the chance to explore the colourful world of best-loved illustrator Nick Sharratt.

Known for books such as ‘Ketchup on your Cornflakes’ and ‘Shark in the Park’, children can draw the original ‘wacky’ artwork from Nick’s sketchbooks on a giant wipe-clean drawing wall.

The large selection of Nick Sharratt’s books available at the exhibition has also been popular, and there are chances to win signed copies in the activity space.

Art Gallery and Museum Manager, Angie Bishop, said: “Families have loved this lively, colourful exhibition since it opened, and after attracting hundreds of excited young fans to meet Nick Sharratt on the opening day it’s great to see them return again and again to enjoy the many activities.”

Pirates, Pants and Wellyphants is open from Monday to Saturday, between 10.30am and 4.30pm until Saturday, September 3.
