Further snow forecast as Met Office issue weather warning

Worcester Editorial 28th Jan, 2021 Updated: 28th Jan, 2021   0

A YELLOW weather warning has been issued by the Met Office as forecasters warn of the potential for heavy snow for Worcestershire this weekend.

A band of heavy rain will push into the southwest through tomorrow (Friday) night and is forecast to turn to snow over Wales, the Midlands and the north of England in the early hours and on Saturday morning itself.

Should the forecast prove to be accurate it will be the second successive weekend the county has been turned into a winter wonderland after Sunday’s snow over Worcestershire.

According to the Met Office, the snowfall has the potential to cause travel disruption.
