BOSSES at Worcester Warriors Foundation are celebrating after it was awarded a £750 cash boost by a city care home’s charity arm.
The grant was awarded by the Barchester Charitable Foundation, the company which runs Latimer Court which has a close connection with the Warriors foundation.
It helps older people and adults with a disability or mental health problems across England, Scotland and Wales by offering grants to help people connect or re-connect with others in their local community.
Donna Tustin, general manager at Latimer Court and Carrie Jahn took the cheque to Sixways Stadium.
Carol Hart, CEO of the Worcester Warriors Foundation confirmed the money would further support the popular Dementia Café held at Sixwats.
“For some families a trip to our Dementia Café is their only outing each week and it is important that cost is not a barrier to attending,” she said.
“Without the support and generosity of our partners and donors, we would not be able to offer this facility.”
