A FLEET of Father Christmases will descend on Worcester this weekend as the annual Santas on a Bike charity challenge returns.

Santas and elves on motorcycles will winding their way along the roads of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire on Saturday (December 11) to raise cash for Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Santas on a Bike began in 2004 in Bristol with just twelve riders, it’s now grown in to a country wide event taking place on dates throughout December.

This year’s ride in the Midlands begins at Gupshill Manor, Tewkesbury and is heading to Acorns Childrens Hospice in Worcester.

The children at Acorns Hospice are there either for short break stays or at the end of their lives they have a range of complex medical conditions and many of them live with severe disability, it costs almost £10million to run the services.

Riding through the A46 to Evesham B4084 through Hampton to Pershore Highstreet B4084 to Worcester, riders will stop at The Timberdine on Bath Road to regroup before going on for the short ride into Acorns at about 2pm.

Even if you’re not a biker be sure to come out and wave to the Santas as they pass.
