STAFF at a county hospice were delighted to receive 35 elaborately iced Christmas cakes to be raffled, sold and auctioned for the charity’s care.
Members of the Wychavon and Stourport branches of The British Sugarcraft Guild donated the creative confections to St Richard’s Hospice.
The guild has donated iced cakes to St Richard’s every Christmas for 19 years, and in that time has helped raise a fantastic amount for its care.
Ann Newton, chairperson of the Wychavon branch of the guild, said: “Each year, we join forces with our friends from the Stourport branch to produce some amazing cake designs to be auctioned and raffled for this very worthwhile cause.
“Some of our members have experienced first-hand the wonderful care St Richard’s provides for patients and families. We all feel it is a privilege to support the incredible work the hospice continues to do.”
Businesses and organisations can now register their interest in raffling or auctioning a cake to raise funds for the charity.
The funds raised will help the hospice continue to care for patients with serious, progressive illnesses, their loved ones and bereaved people across Worcestershire.
