Enjoy a picnic on the Diglis Fields

CITY residents are being invited to enjoy a Picnic on the Fields during a community fun day organised by the Friends of Diglis Fields.

Lots of fun activities will be on offer during the event which will be held next Sunday, July 2 from 12.30pm to 4pm.

The miniature railway will be running as will a tombola, cricket, face painting by Funky Faces, multi-sports activities by the Albion Foundation and a bouncy castle sponsored by Harrison Clark Rickerbys.

There will be a treasure hunt and an ice cream van and visitors are invited to bring balls and other items to ensure a fun packed afternoon.




Among the tombola prizes are four free tickets to Worcester Racecourse and two passes for the West Midlands Safari Park.

Francis Lankester, Chairman of the Friends of Diglis Field thanked all of the events supporters including Worcester City Council, Harrison Clark Rickerbys, the Worcester and District Model Engineers, the Albion Foundation and Coun Simon Geraghty for his donation to the running costs.


The event is free to attend but donations to the Friends of Diglis Fields are welcome and there will be a small charge to ride the miniature railway.
