Diamond day to remember for competition winner

Worcester Editorial 23rd Feb, 2018   0

A WORCESTER couple will tie the knot after winning a competition run by a popular city jeweller and county radio station.

Anja Potze Fine Jewellery and Youthcomm Radio launched a competition to all of their Facebook fans and listeners to win a beautiful platinum and diamond engagement ring worth approximately £1,000.

Lucky winner Craig Smith scooped the prize and wasted little time in popping the question to fiancée Jordan Minnis.

After being selected last Tuesday, Craig, of Warndon Village, visited the boutique the following day to pick up his prize.

He then made it at Valentine’s Day to remember by visiting his devoted partner at her work and popping the question.

She said yes and Craig hopes the news will be the start of a bright new future for the couple and their little boy.

“After a challenging year; losing my job and still trying to support my wonderful girlfriend and three-year-old son, times are hard,” he said.

“I can now finally propose to my girlfriend not only to show how much I love her but also to say thank you for sticking with me through the hard times we have encountered.”

“Honestly, none of this would have been possible without Anja and Youthcomm Radio. We are smiling from ear to ear!”

Anja Potze was overjoyed to be able to donate the ring as the prize.

“For us, donating this ring was a wonderful thing to do. We have a lot of beautiful pieces of jewellery in the boutique, especially engagement rings

“To be able to gift the ring to someone who thoroughly deserved it, and to be part of a wonderful Valentines Day proposal is very exciting.

“I am sure I speak for all at Youthcomm Radio when I say we both wish the couple the best of luck in their future together.”
