DEADLINES to register for competition categories at this year’s Worcester Show are approaching.
The event on August 11, has prizes and trophies to be won – with this years theme being dinosaurs.
The creative technology category asks exhibitors to create a film or animation, and in the literature section you can create either a poem, a piece of fiction, song or script.
The sponsored class category has days out, hampers and gift vouchers to be won.
Helen Platt, who has been entering Show categories for over 10 years said: “Bringing colour and decoration to the Show is all part of it.
“You don’t need to be an artisan, as you can watch videos online about making different arrangements and how to do everything.
“I usually look at the classes and then as I’m going about everyday life ideas come to me.”
The Mayor of Worcester, coun Mel Allcott, said: “Every year the standard of the entries at Worcester Show is so high and I look forward to seeing them.
“This is a chance to challenge yourself and showcase your skills to our judges.”
Also providing prizes for the sponsored class categories are, Hobbycraft, the Three Counties Showground, Wool-Pots, The Gallery Pershore, Script Haven, Worcester Racecourse, Plantamamita and Pershore College.
