Covenant is commitment to service personnel

Worcester Editorial 10th Jan, 2018   0

A WORCESTER housing and care provider Sanctuary Group has underlined its commitment to supporting service personnel by signing the Armed Forces covenant.

The covenant is a commitment from the nation to ensure those who serve or have served and their families are treated with fairness and respect.

It focuses on helping members of the armed forces community have the same access to services and opportunities as any other citizen.

Sanctuary joins almost 2,000 organisations, including businesses, charities and local authorities, in signing the pledge.

Nicole Seymour, group director of Corporate Services, said: “Sanctuary Group recognises the enormous commitment and value serving personnel, both regular and reservists, veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.

“As an armed forces-friendly organisation we are proud to sign the covenant and reinforce our ongoing support for all those who serve.”
