COMMENT: Poisoned individuals will never triumph

TODAY Worcester stands together with Manchester as decent, compassionate folk of the Faithful City comprehend the events at the Manchester Arena on Monday night.

We all knew these modern day terrorists had changed the rules of the game on terrorism, but until last nights events we all thought they couldn’t sink any lower. They can

To target children and teenagers is barbarism in its highest form, they haven’t lived their lives. The ‘sins’ of our generation cannot, must not and should never be used against them.

No excuse can be made for an individual blowing himself up and taking innocent victims with him while leaving hundreds of lives forever changed.




The people who peddle this poisoned view of the world aren’t martyrs, heroes or even true Muslims but cruel, heartless monsters.

Using Islam as a shield for their depravity reveals just how cowardly they are, do not fall for the division and hate they seek to peddle.


His name will be revealed at some point today. Please remember those innocent victims, denied a future through the actions of one individual.

To those who seek this carnage, you will fail. Britain has been challenged many times in its proud history and has emerged a tolerant, open and free society.

We will do so again. To all who have lost or had their lives changed forever please accept my deepest sympathies.

May all those who have passed forever be at peace.
